Artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency are high growth markets offering promising return potential – and two companies are poised to ride the momentum.

Here’s what you need to know – and why AMD and Coinbase could be two breakout bets in the years ahead.

The AI Play: Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)

AI could add $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030, according to PwC – and chipmaker AMD is making a big play to claim its share. The stock dipped earlier this year but has started to recover on the back of major product wins. Recently, there’s been significant chip investment going towards AI training.

It’s first data center GPU, MI300 chip launched in late 2023 and generated $5 billion in revenue.

A new $500 billion market is emerging in AI inferencing – and AMD’s upcoming MI400, launching in 2026, is already getting attention.

The company reported accelerating revenue growth last quarter, with data center revenue up 57% year over year.

OpenAI has reportedly selected AMD’s Instinct graphics processing units MI400 (GPUs) for daily inferencing – signaling a major vote of confidence.

Demand for inferencing hardware is projected to surge from $106 billion in 2025 to $255 billion by 2030, according to MarketsandMarkets. AMD’s positioning makes it a serious contender in this high-growth race.

The Crypto Gateway: Coinbase Global (COIN)

Cryptocurrency topped $3 trillion in value as at June 12, but just 7% of the global population owns any, according to Kraken. That’s a huge runway for Coinbase, the largest U.S.-based crypto exchange with more than $300 billion in assets on the platform.

Trading volume surged last year – driving a 600% stock gain since 2022.

Yes, the stock is volatile – but the company is expanding its product line to attract institutional investors and more customers, including crypto options and stablecoins as well as improvements to its trading infrastructure.

And the macro signs look bullish:

60% of Fortune 500 executives are now working on blockchain initiatives.

And in a surprise move, President Trump signed an executive order calling for a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve for the U.S. government.

The Wealth Break Takeaway

AI and crypto aren’t just buzzwords – they’re long-term trends with real economic impact. AMD is gaining speed in the AI chip race, while Coinbase is building infrastructure to support growing demand in crypto markets. Both stocks are riding big waves – and today’s prices could be tomorrow’s discounts.

High growth. High stakes. And, potentially, high rewards.
